To the Family of Christene Montgomery:
Shocked to read just now on Christene's passing. Deepest condolences to her Family and Friends.
Christene was an exceptional individual, caring, warm and independent. She possessed an infectious charm and was dedicated in her work. Had the good fortune of working alongside her at the GW & JNF (Forest Service) and meeting/talking with her again at BRILC. A nicer person with a commitment to serving the Disabled among us, cannot be found. Her polite and sweet voice will be missed.
To the Family and Friends, be comforted on her achievements and the exemplary life Christene lived.
May her Soul Rest in Peace.
Dharam Sawh - I and R Specialist at BRILC.

Dear Ones, So sorry to hear of the passing of my favorite cousin. I considered her to be more of a sister to me than a cousin. I loved her dearly and will sorely miss her. She was so precious to me. I wish I could be there with you all during this time but find that to be impossible. I love you all even though I only knew "George". I will keep you in my prayers. Love to all of you, Greta Carole

My heart goes out to all of Christene's family. I worked with her for many years at the Forest Service, and she was an inspiration to me. She touched me in a special way and the lessons I learned from her I will carry with me forever.

I worked with her at the Forest Service and she was a very good friend. I know you will surely miss her. I always remember how cheerful she was and I loved talking with her. Heaven has a new Angel smiling down on us.

Miss Christene will be missed, however, her spirit and the love for the people in the city of Roanoke will never be forgotten. Her hard work with the Mayor's Committee and the with the staff P & R Youth Services will always be treasured.

I didn't know her personally, but she was an inspiration to watch in action. Roanoke has lost a great soul, but it's heaven's gain.

What a perennial source of inspiration Christine has always been for me.....in so many ways she has helped me remember what an honor it is to work in the arena of rehabilitation. Roanoke has surely lost one of its shining stars, and I am sad for our shared loss. Pat Eby

She was a beautiful corageous lady, and she is walking all over heaven now that she does not need that wheelchair. We have the hope in Christ that we are absent from the body and present with the Lord.
