It was a long battle that you fought but God knew it was time for you to come home. Now you dont have to suffer anymore and your in a better place. You made nannie so happy and were definately one of a kind. You were just like a grandfather to me and You will be greatly missed.

Jimmy: I can only hope that you know how much you meant to me. My Nannie wasnt "married" to you but you were always my grandfather and I love you just like my other grandparents. You always kept me laughing and you made my Nannie happy too and that was the most important. You are also Logan's great grandfather and I want you to know how very much he loves you and misses you. He wanted to go to the hospital to get you and bring you back home. On multiple occasions I have explained to him that your soul is in heaven and how you have wings now and he doesn't have to worry about your leg. On the day of your funeral when we arrived Logan asked, "Mommy, is this heaven?" We take comfort in knowing that one day we will again all be together. Until that time we will look to you in memories. We will love you always!

AS HARD AS I FIND THIS TO DO SOMEHOW YOU GIVE ME THE STRENGTH. YOU WERE MY LIFE. YOUR PASSING HAS TAUGHT ME THAT EARTHLY ACQUISITIONS AND MONETARY WORTH HAVE NO MEANING WHAT SO EVER, ONLY ONES ACTIONS, KINDNESS TOWARDS OTHERS, AND STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART.THE MEMORIES OF THE TIMES WE SHARED TOGETHER COUPLED WITH THE CRAFTS AND SKILLS I ACQUIRED FROM YOUR BRILLIANCE I WILL CARRY WITH ME EACH AND EVERY DAY. YOU WERE THE MOST CARING AND COMPASSIONATE FATHER ANYONE COULD EVER HAVE. AS I HELD YOUR HAND IN PASSING THE LORD ASSURED ME THAT HE HAD MADE THE DECISION TO TAKE YOU BY HIS SIDE AND WILL WATCH OVER YOUR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND. Jimmy and family, I want to send my deepest sympathy to you all. Your father was a great person. I rented from him a long time ago. I hope you remember me, my son Ken was around your daughter age. I was going with Earl Harris at the time and then we ended up getting married later. Your father was always there to help if we need help and my son and I though a lot of him. I know he is in a better place now, then to suffer with pain. May god bless you and your family.

Dad - You were more than just a Father to me, you were my friend, mentor and someone who taught me that in life I will have to make many choices. And with your guidance the choices that I made always were very easy to make, because you taught me to always do the right thing. I loved you then - I love you now - and I shall love you forever. I know without a doubt that you are in heaven now, never having to tolerate the struggles and pain that you had in your life here on earth. I love you and I miss you, and as long as my heart shall beat you will live inside of me. And although we may not be together now, one day we will all be together again.
