I moved from Roanoke in 1985, but I still remember John's beautiful voice singing "Old Man River" when we were both in the Appalachian Chorus. He shared his love for music, his faith and his humor. I always looked up to him and he'll be missed by everyone who knew him. I'm sure he continues to sing for the Lord. May God Bless his family.
