Sherman Lynnwood Firebaugh

Sherman Lynnwood Firebaugh, a life time Roanoke resident who moved to Jacksonville, Florida in later years, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Maxine L. Firebaugh, of Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Junior Firebaugh; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Charles Robinson, of Roanoke; his children and their spouses, Karen F. and Barry L. Darnell, of Jacksonville, Florida, Douglas E. and Jodi M. Firebaugh, of Detroit, Michigan and Denise F. Sebring, of Clarksburg, West Virginia; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brook, Lisa, and Erin; and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park, in Roanoke, Virginia at 12 noon on Saturday, August 30, 2008. Sherman was a founding member of the Edgewood Lions Club and a Charter Member of Green Ridge Baptist Church.
