Norman Boyd Rauhof III

Norman Boyd Rauhof III, 62, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008. He was born March 6, 1946, in Pulaski, Va., son of the late Norman Boyd II and Ellen Crockett Rauhof. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Rauhof. Norman was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired technician with Xerox. He is survived by two daughters, Julie Dayberry and fiance, Chad Brown, of Roanoke, Va., and Peggy and Lee Boehling, of Radford, Va.; one son, Robert Elliott and Melodie Rauhof, of Atlanta, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Cassie Rauhof, Bryce Rauhof, Reagan Dayberry, Savannah Dayberry and Elliott Boehling. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cindy Privette officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 1249, Abingdon, Va. 24212.
