Mary was a very special lady. I was fortunate to be able to care for her while she was in RMH on the 8th floor. During this time I came to love her as if she were a member of my own family. I went to see her before going on vacation to Myrtle Beach and before leaving I told her how much I loved her and she said I love you too! I also asked her if I could bring her anything back and she said she would like to have a sea shell from the beach but she didn't think she would be here to get it. Well I searched for the perfect shell and I found one so she could hear the ocean, but she knew her time was short. She also told me that she was ready and she had a lot of family she was anxious to see again. She is with them now, but there is still a hole left here because of her beautiful face and loving nature. I will treasure this shell as a loving reminder of Mary and every time I hear the ocean I will think of her and how much she loved her family. She was truly an Angel on earth and she made my job a pleasure because of her smile and grace. I will forever hold the memory of her sweet smile in my heart.
