Peggy Ann Siner McGee
On Saturday, September 6, 2008, at her home in Fairlawn surrounded by her family, Peggy went to her heavenly home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She loved her family dearly; a homemaker who believed God came first in her life. She was born February 10, 1932 in Pulaski, Virginia. She graduated 2nd in her class at Dublin High School, where she also received the DAR Good Citizenship Award and was Homecoming Princess her senior year. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Clementine Goad and Harry Kessler Siner, niece, Cindy Siner Mayo, and stepgrandson, William John Gessner, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Alfred Sidney McGee, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Anne McGee and William (Bill) John Gessner, Sr., of White Pine, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Sidney and Sarah Yates McGee, of Radford; four grandchildren, Amanda Jeane McGee and Jacob Daniel McGee, of Radford, stepgrandson, Nathan Webb Gessner, of White Pine, Tenn. and stepgranddaughter and her husband, Chandra Louise Gessner and Alvin L. Lutz, of Riner, Va.; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Tiffany Amber, Andrew Scott, Christopher Sean and Lorrie Lynn Lutz, all of Riner; sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia (Pat) Kessler Siner Arey, of Owings Mills, Md. and Sarah Jane Siner and Larry Evans Phillips, of Radford; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Robert and Jean Blankenship Siner, of Goodview, Va.; nephews and their wives, Stephen Kent and Lynn Penne Arey and Christopher and Mary Demmon Phillips, all of Wichita, Kan., Robert Kessler Siner, of Roanoke and Kevin Eugene Siner of Florida; niece and husband, Dana Marie Phillips and Mike McDonald, of Fairfield, Pa.; great-niece and nephews, Katelyn Joyce McDonald and Brian Thomas McDonald, both of Fairfield, Pa., Daniel Thomas Phillips and Anthony Devan Phillips, both of Wichita, Kan., and Cindy's son, Chad; a very special friend and dear "sister", Sharon Bristol, of Owings Mills, Md.; and many cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terry Woodard and Rev. Jim Walker officiating, with a special message from her daughter, Deborah. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
