Stephen Hatcher Obituary

Stephen L. (Steve) Hatcher, 37, of Daleville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 4, 2008. He is predeceased by his grandmother, Katherine King Etter; and aunt, Ellen Sue Hatcher. Steve is survived by his son, who was his life, Christopher L. Hatcher; father, David L. Hatcher; mother, Linda R. "Becky" Etter; sister, Melissa A. "Missy" Hatcher; grandparents, Russell C. (Patsy) Etter and Frank L. (Ruth) Hatcher Jr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many special friends. Steve graduated from Hargrave Military Academy as a 2nd Lieutenant Platoon Leader and was affectionately known as the "Andy Griffith" of the entire campus. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. A private family prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Daleville, Va.
