Rob-

I'll never forget the good times we had. The parties every weekend in High School. The party you had before you left for the Marines was one with lots of memories. The jokes you told were always a hit and made everyone laugh.

Your Wedding, along with my Wedding Day, the smile you had on your face from ear to ear will always be the way we will remember you!

Our hearts and prayers go out to Bev, Matt, Sherman, Tammy and the girls.

You will never forgotten!!!

To all of Robs family and friends.
All of us in Virginia are still trying to come to terms with this. We can only imagine how his family and girls are. We will all miss him and his smile that could make the darkest day bright. We will always carry him with us in our heart and memories.
We hope that he is able to see how many lives he touched and how many truly care for him.
His family and girls are in our prayers.

Rob, like all your friends and family, the one thing I remember about you over anything else was your easy smile and the way you could light up any room. I've never met anyone who had that gift like you had. More than the time we spent working and hanging out (not near enough) together, I'll remember that smile.

God Bless and Semper fi.

Debbie and I, and all of Robs friends in northern Virginia are still processing and trying to understand this tragic event, and would like to express our deepest condolences to Robs family, Tammy, and his two beautiful daughters Vicky and Mariah. Rob and I worked together in the mid-90’s, we were roommates, and very close friends. Rob made 3 trips to northern Virginia over the past 7 months to see and spend time with his friends, I will cherish every last moment we were able to share with him. I will always remember and love everything about Rob that made him such a special person. I miss my buddy and know he will be watching over everyone that was special to him.

Sincere Regards,

Michael Bailey & Debbie Delisi

Rob,

The Sparks' family would like to express our deepest condolences. We pray for your children and family through this confusing and agonizing time. You will always be remembered as a guy with that grin on your face and the heart of a lion!!!! It wasn't that long ago that I saw you and hung out for the evening. Being how I (we) all knew you through bands and music, I can't wrap my mind around this and only wish......The one song that sticks out in my head, would not be fitting for this forum but it's by Metallica and It makes me terribly sad that this growing darkness is taking on inside of me. May God protect your Children and keep them safe from harm and provide your family with the strength and the tranquility to go on. We love you Rob and you will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten.

Rob, although our visits were far and few between, you were never far from our hearts. Each moment was a moment to charish. Grandma loved your visits when you were back home. She enjoyed seeing you and catching up. We all are going to miss you. I ran across this poem and wanted to share it with the family.

I Do Believe
by Jennifer Janiszewski

There is nothing i can do,
to make him come back
There are no words I can say,
that can replace he words you long to hear

There are no answer's I can give,
that will satisfy your questions
There is not another soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace his
And, there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared

I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete
I will not say it could have been worse
I will not deny it was a tragedy
I will not lie and tell you he will come back

He never really left

I do promise he hears you when you speak
I will say he loves you no matter the distance
I will not deny he is in a better place
And, I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday

He is every you step you take
He is in everything you do
He is the air you breathe
He is every beat of your heart

" He is like the wind. You can not see him...but you will always feel him"

Bevearly/Earl/Sherman/Matt, we love you all. May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. Your all in my prayers.

Matthew and family,
I wish that I could ease your pain. I do not have the words to express the sorrow that I feel for each of you. Please know that Rob will live on in each and every one of us. He has many friends and family that love him dearly. Each of us have taken our memories of Rob and tied them a little closer to our hearts. My greatest memories of Rob, were the times that he and Matthew would sit for hours laughing and reminiscing about their childhood. (Beverly, listening to these stories I realized how you had your hands full with those three little boys:)

My heart and my tears are with each of you.

Dear Rob:
Words cannot express the pain I feel losing you. My little brother it will be really hard to go on each day knowing that I cannot see you, speak with you or embrace you with a hug telling you how much you mean to me as a brother. Please look down and watch over me, Mom & Matt. I will never forget you and I will always cherish our memories we had together.

Rest in peace my little brother.

My Robert,

I'm writing this message on behalf of your loving Grandmother, Irene Campbell. She will truly miss you. She appreciates all of the calls you extended to check on her and to let her know how you and your family were doing. She only wishes that she could have seen you again as you both indicated in your last call, recently. You always touched her heart with the calls and visits. Believe me she would let several of us know that "My Robert" called. You know your Grandmother...She will continue to tell the stories about how she strengthened you (to sit up as a baby) with her "Soul" food. She also has a few stories of her Great-Granddaughters from the visits. Thank You for your love and the wonderful memories.

You may be gone on to a better place, but you will forever be in the hearts of your family that originated in E. Chicago, IN. We love you and will truly miss you.

Rob - my friend, my brother! Over the past few days, I have tried to search the memory banks of us back in Glen Park. The good times we had, every kid should have a neighborhood like yours, club houses, i.g.a., Matt and I ganging up on you, and the infamous RockSock! But what I remember most is the man I saw a few years ago, confident, happy, a smile so wide. I am glad to have had you in my life! I am glad to call you my brother! I will keep an eye out for your little bro, Matt, well... as best I can.

Rob just a few weeks ago I sent you a text to say that we need to get together and go hang out. I never thought that we would never get the chance. While I was there working with you going down the road to check on properties, well it was some the funniest times I had working there. I will miss you and your hillarious comments. Your friend Gary.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

The first day back to work after finding out that you were gone was very hard. I remember just last Thursday you had come into work with Taco Bell. We joked around about that. Dearest Rob,
My heart is breaking but I have been so blessed to have had your love and been able to love you for 38 years. It went by much too soon. I would give my life to have you back even for just a moment.

Your kind soul and gentle spirit, your grace and sense of humor will always be with me. Know that Vicky & Mariah will be loved and cared for.

Your brothers, Sherman & Matt cherish your memory and you will always be part of them and you know Earl loved you as a son.

Dear son I mourn your loss and know that you are now at peace and that brings some comfort.

Look down at us and smile knowing you were loved beyond words until we meet again.

With all my love,
