Daniel Reed Obituary

Daniel Reed, 73, of Radford, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, in Radford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Sr. and Mary Reed. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Tester Reed, of Radford; four sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Reed, of Radford, David and Terri Reed and their son, Brian Helms, of Charlotte, N.C., Daran Reed and fiancé, Melissa Minnick, of Radford, Steven and Mitzi Reed, of Radford; three grandchildren, Daphne and Kevin Daughtery and Marcus Reed, a great-grandson, Noah Lee Daughtery; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bram and Barb Reed, of Woodlawn, and William Reed and Wanda Waddle, of Galax. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home, in Radford, with Pastor O.D. Morgan and Brian Cockram officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
