Novella D. Mayberry

Novella D. Mayberry, 93, of Pulaski, Va., died Friday, September 26, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Odell H. Mayberry. Born in Yadkin County, N.C., She was the daughter of Ernest and Ethel Dixon. She grew up in WinstonSalem, N.C., and graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College. She is survived by her brother, Roy E. Dixon; three nieces, Carol Bottoms, Patricia Dixon and Gail Stowe; and her goddaughter, Jennifer Spoon and Chandler Spoon. A private memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or Good Samaritan Hospice in Christiansburg, Va.
