Dear Marilyn & family, words cannot express the grief and sadness you must be feeling by her untimely passing. I have many fond memories of our slumber parties and going to church over through our childhood years together. Gini was always the most kind a gentle person. In many ways, she was years ahead in her time. We are all truly blessed by her life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Gini was an inspiration to all around her.

I am in complete shock over what happened. I have worked with Gini on a number of events over the last two years through FIA. She was so kind and always willing to help out... and share the odd email joke. I will truly miss her and will keep the entire Orange family in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Gini at the American Association of Blood Banks seven years ago. She was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, funny, and genuine--definitely a bright spot in the workplace! Gini and all of her loved ones will remain in my thoughts. May all of them find comfort during this dark time.

I had the great pleasure of working with Gini on events and many general matters between our two companies Newedge and the FIA. Her warmth, integrity, general concern and helpfulness were always at the highest professional and personal levels. The loss is such a terrible tragedy and impacts so many more people than I can imagine. Dear Gini's Family,
I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Gini was a wonderful person whom always shared a smile. I went to school with Gini and was in the Marching Band with her. I think the hardest part is that I had just seen her a few month's ago. Your daughter has made such a difference in everyones lives even the people she had never met. That is truly a gift from God. She and her family will continue to be on mind. I do not think I could ever forget her for as long as I live. I had the pleasure of knowing Gini through FIA. Over the past 5 years, we worked together to coordinate events in Chicago. Although most of our interaction was done over the phone, I felt I had a connection to her. She was always cheerful, energetic and sweet. I was very saddened to hear of the news of her passing. I only met Gini a couple of times, but it's true what others have said in this guest book. She was a delightful and vibrant woman. Her enthusiasm for life and God were contagious. I had the pleasure of knowing Gini through our church McLean Bible Church. I was fortunate enough to serve along side her in McLean and in Arlington. Gini had such a passion for service and for the Lord like few people I've come across in my life. She was always the last person to go home - always willing to stay as long as it took to finish whatever she started. Always maintaining a great attitude no matter how tedious the task or how late the hour. I admired that. I just found out yesterday that she passed away and I can't imagine never seeing her again at our church, but I know I will see her again someday. Gini had such great faith and she was and always will be an inspiration to me -- and so many others. My prayers go out to all her friends and family...

I went to school with Gini at Colonial, BI and LB. My family lived on Knollwood and we became friends on the school bus. I was blessed to become very good friends with her, especially in middle school. Two things that immediately come to mind when I think of Gini is her smile and her long blond hair. I called her Giggles because she laughed so much and it was hard to be in a bad mood around her; the giggling was contagious. I remember sitting in front of her in Ms Eubanks eighth grade math class talking about clothes, school and all kinds of things that were important to us at the time. She was incredibly intelligent but completely down to earth. I am not surprised at the number of peoples’ lives she has affected in a positive way but I am surprised at the short amount of time she had to make such an impact on people. She is truly an amazing person. It is wonderful to know she will live on forever through our hearts and all of our memories. I know she is happy being with God and Heaven is a better place with its newest angel. I will keep Gini in my thoughts and your family in my prayers.

I, too, went to LB with Gini and knew her through marching band. As many people have already said, she was the one that ALWAYS had a smile to share with others. That is how she will be remembered by me. Although she is in a better place now, I will keep her family in my prayers.

I went to high school with Genevieve and graduated with her in 1997. I always remember her with a smile that would brighten anyone's day everyday in every class that i had with her. She was always cheerful and would always lighten the mood of any situation. We can’t tell you how stunned and incredibly saddened we were to hear about Gini. Our son Jeff dated her off and on for 3 years while he was in med school in Richmond. She had just graduated from college and was excited about a new job in DC. She had moved in with one of her sisters and was thinking about renting my parents’ home in Rockville (they were moving to Florida). She was a beautiful child of God, gorgeous inside and out, compassionate, chaste, extremely personable, and had a smile that would light up the room. We feel lucky to have known her, if only for a few years and were so fortunate to have her spend time in our home. While you mourn her loss, rejoice for the loved ones she has joined in heaven, and celebrate that she is now safe in the hands of God. Someone as special as Gini will never be forgotten, and she is now living in the hearts and lives of those she has left behind. While you will never “get over it,” you will instead “get through it” with the help of those who knew and loved her. We are keeping you in our prayers and trusting that God will bring you comfort in the days ahead. May hope sustain you, friends surround you, and love give you the strength to heal.

Marilyn, I just learned of Gini's death and am so saddeded by your loss. I cannot find adequate words to express how this news affected me. I can only imagine that it's through God's care that you are coping. I am praying for you and asking God to wrap His arms around you and sustain you at this time. I remember Gini fondly as a friend of my daughter Laura and chaperoning youth trips. Gini's smile and outgoing personality will be greatly missed.

I went to HS with Gini. We were not close friends but I remember she was a very sweet person w/ a beautiful smile. She always seemed to have such grace about herself. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. What a blessing that her heart was with GOD and she is now with our Heavenly Father. I am so sorry for the loss that your family has endoured. I went to middle school at B.I. with Gini and unfortunately haven't seen her since. I didn't realize that we both ended up graduating from Virginia Tech. It sounds like she grew up to be an amazing person, friend, and daughter. But most importantly, she exhibited God's love. I had the pleasure and blessing of knowing Gini for the past year. She was an amazing woman who God used to bless and minister to all who knew her. She simply radiated God's love and was an inspiration to those fortunate to call her a friend.
While those of us who knew her will always mourn the loss of her presence, we are secure and comforted in the certain knowledge that she is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ladies, thank you for helping shape Gini into the wonderful woman she became. I will greatly miss her joy, laughter, smile, gentleness, kindness, wisdom and quiet strength. However I know that I will see her again in heaven and look forward to seeing her and our other loved ones whenever Christ calls me home.

I only knew Gini very briefly. She used to give me rides to church cause we were in the same church choir together. Even so, she's impacted my life.
