Ruth Adams Obituary

Ruth Yvonne Adams, 67, of Vinton, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chesley S. Adams Jr.; parents, Brodie and Ann Tinsley; and stepson, James Edward Adams. Surviving are her children, Deborah Wray Carlisle and husband, Ronald, Donald Lee Wray Jr. and wife, Rhonda, Robert Wray and wife, Cherie, and Steven Wray and wife, Sheryl; stepchildren, Nancy Ann Wilson and husband, Frank, Ruth "Kitty" Lucado, Robert Charles Adams and Frank Bolton Adams; 19 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; brothers, Donald and Charles Tinsley; and sister, Patricia Steele. Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, October 3, 2008, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Elder Thomas Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
