William Perry Dickson

William P. (Bill) Dickson, 69, of New Castle, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 2, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Mary Dickson; brothers, Paul, James, and Marlon Dickson; and sister, Elizabeth Bradley. He retired from Roanoke City after many years of service. He served his country for four years in the United States Army. He was an avid golfer and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his loving fiancée, Pat Lingo; sister, Dorothy Kaptis; brother, Danny R. Dickson; numerous nieces and nephews; faithful companion, Freckles; and very special friends, Eddie Caldwell and Jimmy Taylor. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Paitsel Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Grindstaff officiating.
