Rodger Alderman Obituary

Rodger Dale (Stretch) Alderman, 63, of Willis, died peacefully at is home October 5, 2008 at 6:35 p.m. A spiritual service will be provided by the Rev. Nathan Montgomery 1 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Harris Cemetery. Rodger served in the United States Navy on the USS Princeton during the Vietnam War. He had a great appreciation for bluegrass music. Rodger was born April 9, 1945, son of Otis and Nisten Alderman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Marie Alderman. He is survived by a brother, Joseph Alderman, of Willis; a stepson, Robert Cameron, of Willis; stepdaughters, Susan Mosley, Billie Jo McPeak, both of Willis; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a donation to hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd. Online condolences may be sent to maberryfuneralhome.com.
