David Meacham Obituary

David Lee Meacham, 66, of Roanoke County, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008. He was a meat cutter with Kroger Tanglewood and a member of Clearbrook Grace Brethren Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette A. Meacham and Helen Adams Meacham. He is survived by his wife, Ginny Meacham; children, Michael L. Meacham and wife, Amy B. Meacham, Stephanie M. Grindstaff and husband, Bill Grindstaff; grandchildren, Katy L. Meacham, Dillon T. Meacham, Lacy B. Grindstaff and Will Grindstaff; brother, James Meacham and wife, Goldie Meacham; sister, Becky Hicks and husband, Harley Hicks; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles Nunley and wife, Barbara Nunley, Mary Jane Simmons (preceded by husband , Everett Simmons) Sadie Weddle and husband, Jim Weddle, Emily Minnix and husband, Don Minnix, Molly Simmons and husband, Larry Simmons; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Biscuit". Services will be at noon Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue. Pastor Bill Grindstaff will officiate. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2008. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
