Lena Poe Obituary

Lena Bedsaul Poe, 85, of Pulaski, died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Pulaski Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 22, 1922, in Carroll County, Va., the daughter of the late Bruce and Thelma Elizabeth Harrison Bedsaul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Scott Poe. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Wayne Frost, of Galax, Joyce and Jimmy Kenney, of Roanoke, and Susan and Danny Burroughs, of Dublin, Va.; one sister, Aldena Cornett, of Galax; one brother, L.C. Bedsaul, of Wytheville, Va. She also is survived by three half sisters; four half brothers; seven grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and seven greatgreat -grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the VaughanGuynn Chapel. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the VaughanGuynn Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.vaughanguynn.com.
