Cletia Corvin Obituary

Cletia Nuckolls Corvin, 88, of Wytheville, Va., passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008, in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John and Hattie Felty Nuckolls. She was retired manager from Jafree Shirt Company, and was employed in food service at Birdmont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Troy Corvin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Bowles, of Wytheville; two grandchildren and spouses, Teresa and Steven Hardin, of Wytheville, and Deanna and John Bayless, of Ardmore, Tenn.; three greatgrandchildren, Keri Hardin and Tyler Hardin, both of Wytheville, and Hank Bayless, of Tennessee; and special care giver, Alma Mutter, of Max Meadows. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Harvey Atkinson with the interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Advent Lutheran Church, 3570 West Lee Highway, Wytheville, Va. 24382 or charity of your choice. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
