My family knew "little Miss Mattie" for many years. Lots of folks like us in Eagle Rock use to say "there goes little Miss Mattie walking up the street in Eagle Rock" We loved her
and she was always the same - very friendly and nice to everyone.
It was people like Mattie when I was
growing up in Eagle Rock that made it an especially nice place to be a part of such a caring, loving community. She was a "very special little lady" and lots of older people knew her well.
Most of them also have passed on now. My family wants to express our sympathy to her family at this time.
