William Goad Obituary

Mark William Goad, 50, of Fincastle, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008. Mark was superintendant with E.C. Pace Company for 20 years and later for Greg Miller of Fincastle. He loved to fish and hunt and he enjoyed all of his brothers and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Preston Goad. Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Jones Goad; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark William (April) Goad Jr., of Salem, Christopher Goad, of Fincastle; grandson, Bradly Goad; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence "Junior" (Bonnie) Goad, of Fincastle, Ronald E. (Janice) Goad, Jerry (Emma Mae) Goad, of Eagle Rock, Donnie E. (Shelby) Goad, of Fincastle; nephews, Preston, Gary, and Little Ronnie; and niece, Lynn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 27, 2008, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Blankenship and Chaplain Charlie Hoffler officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. to the time of the service, 540-254-3000.
