S. Reedy Obituary

S.L. (Bob) Reedy, 78, of Pulaski, Va., formerly of Volney, Va., died October 25, 2008 at Pulaski Community Hospital, Pulaski, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Sebastian Reedy. He was born December 6, 1929 to the late Charles and Ossie Perkins Reedy. Surviving are two sons and spouses, Rod and Deborah Reedy of Radford, Va., and Kevin and Sandra Reedy of Alpharetta, Ga.; two grandsons, Marc and Jacob; one sister, Lila Campbell of Volney, Va.; brother-in-law, Fred L. Reeves of Johnson City, Tenn., and Volney; several nieces and nephews also survive. The body is at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Little Wilson United Methodist Church, Volney, Va., interment in Little Wilson Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Glenn Burcham and the Rev. John Graham. The body will lie in state at the church thirty minutes preceding the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, Va.
