Anne Bailey Obituary

Anne Rumbley Bailey, 79, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Maggie Rumbley; and sisters, Reba Rumbley Reed and Nancy Rumbley. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Grandin Court Baptist Church. She was an avid bridge player and member of two bridge clubs. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Bailey; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Bailey, and Tom and Diana Bailey; granddaughters, Allyson Bailey and Laura Bailey; and brother, Ed Rumbley Jr. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Oakey's South Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cave Spring Rescue Squad or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
