Andora Lilly Obituary

Andora Anderson Lilly, 90, of 5533 Old Route 11, Dublin, Va., died on Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2008, in Radford, Va. She was born in Jumping Branch, W.Va., on December 7, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Willie Anderson and Eva Richmond Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Judson Harmon Lilly. She was a former school teacher at Dublin Elementary and was a graduate of Radford College. She was also a member of the Fairlawn Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters and spouses, Margaret L. and William Welsh, of Oakton, Va., and Patsy Lillian and Al Caudwell, of Fairlawn, Va.; son and spouse, David Harmon and Gloria Lilly, of Dublin, Va.; sister, Kennamae Lilly, of Jumping Branch, W.Va.; grandchildren, Hank and Karen Welsh, Sara and Jon Lilly, and Nancy and K.C. Martin. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2008, from the Fairlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. Visiting will be held on Sunday at the Fairlawn Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Fairlawn Baptist Church, General Fund, 6758 Oxford Avenue, Radford, Va. 24141 or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.
