Mildred Dison Obituary

Mildred Louise Hash Dishon, 84, of Dublin, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 2, 2008, at her home. Born February 29, 1924, in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Vinson and Eula Bailey Hash. Her brother, Masten Hash; grandson, John; and great-grandson, Luke, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Freeman "Don" Dishon, of Dublin; twin sons and daughter-in-law, Doyle Strickland, of Baltimore, Md., Darrell and Ruth Strickland, of Baltimore, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Patti) and Marshall Bowling, of Seneca, S.C.; brother , Charles Hash, of Belle, W.Va.; grandchildren, Mark, Gary, Stefanie, Jenny, Cindy, Teresa and Jay; 13 great-grandchildren ; 12 greatgreat-grandchildren; special friend , Julie Ligon and daughter, Olivia; and her beloved cat ,Inky. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Ron Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Snowville at the Dishon Family Cemetery at the Page Place. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements for the family, www.bowerfuneralhome.com .
