Genevieve Butler Obituary

Genevieve Nacelli Butler, 82, of Bedford and formerly of Charlottesville, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, on September 4, 1926, a daughter of the late William Nacelli and Genevieve Skypek Nacelli. She was an avid sports fan, loving her University of Virginia Cavaliers and the Boston Red Sox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Andrew Butler Jr.; a daughter, Susan Butler; a niece, Carol Nacelli Langfeldt. She is survived by her son, Stan Butler and wife, Lisa, of Bedford; her grandchildren, Kathy Rogers and husband, Jeff, Nick Butler, Elizabeth Butler, and Susan Butler; a brother, Walter Nacelli and wife, Juanita; a niece, Juanita G. Nacelli; special friends, Ronald Pugh, Fred James and Mearle Connell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pecks Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 1020 Pecks Church Rd., Bedford, Va. 24523. The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. today at Burch-Messier Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 317 W. Main St., Bedford, 540-586-7360.
