I worked several years at Ridgewood Gardens and got close to Mabel. She was sweet, alert and loved her church. She had a good long life and is ready now to really live!

To the children of Mabel I want to tell you how much I loved your mother and what a good friend she was to my mom & dad (Mary & Marvin Perdue) I had some of the best times with Linda (when we were children) at her mothers & dads house. Mabel was always there in Church to give me words of wisdom and encouragement. She is and will always be such a special true lady that touched my life and always made me smile. I will miss her. I feel that in knowing her she made my life richer and better. God Bless you all and I will be with you in the Spirit of prayer during this difficult time. Our loss is heavens gain. I know that she is sitting at the feet of her Savior just basking in his son-shine and joy. She is truly complete now and I look forward to seeing her again some day. With all of my love to you and yours, Ruth Perdue Sturgill-Traficanti (AL class of 1962)
