Gladys Dorothy Edwards Burch, 84, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, November 13, 2008. She was born December 28, 1923, in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Lewis Edward Edwards and Lula Mae Wilcher Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Beale Oyler; two sons, William D. Oyler and Thomas B. Oyler. Surviving are her husband, Harold Franklin Burch; a son, Wayne M. Oyler, and wife, Janice, of Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Judy Oyler, of Buena Vista; a brother, Carl Edwards, of Fla.; a sister, Stella Agnor, of Buena Vista; six grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Green Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2008, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.
