Diane Patterson Obituary

Diane M. Patterson, 64, of Salem, Va., passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was a loyal employee of K & W Cafeteria for 18 years. She is survived by sister-in-law and best friend, Sherry Throckmorton; brother-in-law, Tom Throckmorton; special niece, Sarah Tinsley and her husband, Matthew, and their children; special nephew, Thomas W. Throckmorton Jr. and wife, Gail, and their child. She is also survived by her son, Tim Patterson and wife, Karen; her granddaughters, Stephanie Patterson, Rebecca "Becca" Patterson, and Veronica Patterson; her sister, Gail Means and husband, Richard; her brother, Edward Vorndran and wife, Beverly; her special companion, Shadow (her dog); and her three precious cats. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Feather officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 540-982-2100.
