Missouri Drewry Obituary

Missouri Jane Rosenbaum Drewry (Nanny), 100, of Roanoke, Va., died on Saturday morning, November 15, 2008, in Stuart, Va. She was born on February 20, 1908, in Crockett, Va. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Drewry Sr. She worked for many years at the Viscose plant in Southeast Roanoke and other places around Roanoke before she entered training to become a Licensed Practical Nurse at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She retired from Carilion in the mid 1970's. She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service, conducted by the Reverend Robert D. Smith, will be held in Lapsley Chapel at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 10 a.m. to honor her life. Bill (George) and family will receive friends in the parlor at the church immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Capital Funds Campaign at First Presbyterian Church will be greatly appreciated.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Aunt Jane was very special to us. She was a pleasure to be with. We will always remember her kindness to our Mom and Dad. Sorry we will be unable to attend the service as Betty had knee replacement surgery on 11/4. Blessings, Betty, Sonny and Adair
