M. Jane Drewry

M. Jane Drewry, 100, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was born in Crockett, Va., on February 20, 1908, the daughter of the late Joseph Emory and Pearlie Wampler Rosenbaum. Jane retired from Roanoke Memorial Hospital as a nurse. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Drewry. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth D. and E. Fulton Clark, of Stuart, Va.; and a son and daughter-in-law, George W. and Carol H. Drewry, of Roanoke, Va. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Victoria Baker, of Roanoke, Joseph Clark, of Stuart, William Clark, of New York City, N.Y., David Drewry, of Jamestown, N.C., Julie Drewry, of Roanoke and Kenneth Drewry, of Roanoke; seven greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating.
