Floyd Mundy Obituary

Floyd Mundy Jr., 70, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. He was born in Fairfax, Va., on October 29, 1938, to the late Floyd Mundy and Edna Brown Mundy. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and his mother-in-law, Florence L. Howard. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy E. Mundy; son, Michael A. (Tina) Mundy; one granddaughter, Amber; sisters, Janice (Sylvester) Varner, Jewell (Lonnie) Turner, Nancy (Anthony) Clark, Barbara Mason, Margaret (Bill) Norton, the Rev. Dr. Geraldine (Matthew) Booth, and Patricia (Lambert) Smith; one brother, Daniel (Millie) Mundy; sister-in-law, Geri (Thomas) Beane; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and devoted (pet) companion "Bear". Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Geraldine Booth officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008, at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.
