My mother told me of Mr. Carr's passing. He worked with my daddy, Wayne, at Piedmont, and helped daddy build my bedroom in a spare room of our house. I always enjoyed getting to see y'all when you would visit with Mama and Daddy in our home while they lived in Salem. You are in our prayers,

Carr family,
Our deepest sympathy on the death of Henry. We worked with him in CLT and loved him! What a hoot. We were also your neighbors in Autumn Acres. Henry and Chris stopped by when they were in town. We also were neighbors, coworkers and good friends with his nephew, John Carr.

Henry was one of my favorite people when I came to Piedmont in Roanoke in 1968.
He always got my Yankee sense of humor and his barking Navy drill, tried but often failed, to keep me on my toes. He was always one of the good guys.
My condolences to your family.

Christine,
Henry Carr was a friend of mine.....and I will always remember the good times while working with him at Piedmont Airlines in ROA and CLT. My family especially enjoyed visiting with you and Henry and your kids in your home. I will mostly remember his sense of humor. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Mary and I will miss Henry very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

It was very upsetting to hear the news about Henry from my dad (Dan Campbell). Henry was a wonderful individual who was always kind and helpful to me when we worked together in the USAir tower at the Charlotte Airport. I was lucky to not only work along side my dad, but also along side Henry as well. Many thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

Henry & I were co-workers for Piedmont Airlines in Roanoke during the mid-60's. He was a good friend, and a supportive presence. He ranks high on my list of favorite persons I worked with over my 38 year career. My sincerest condolences to the family. "I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creatures, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again".
(Wm Penn) By his works alone we can never forget that Henry passed this way, and we look forward to being with him again... forever, in the land where there will be no more passing.

To The Car Family:
My condolences to each of you. I was in Steven's production of " The Sound of Music " at Jefferson Senior High School and attended school with Vickie at Breckinridge Jr High. In Rev. 21:4, it saids, " He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. " The legacy of both father and son is that they lived their lives by faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. They did not die unto death but eternal life. May God's grace, peace, love, and mercy be upon each of you as you face the days ahead.
