Frank Bayne Obituary

Frank Lee Wilford Bayne, 75, of Lexington, Va., died on Thursday, November 20, 2008, in Heritage Hall. He was born on October 22, 1933, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late John Henry Bayne and Mary Horn Bayne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Phillips. Mr. Bayne was a fixer at Burlington Industries. He attended Lexington High School where he played football. He was a member of the National Guard of Lexington and served two years in the Army. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Bayne; a brother, William "Shake" Bayne and wife, Jane, of Lexington; a nephew, Sidney Hall and wife, Shirley, of Cantonment, Fla.; an uncle, Ricie Horn and wife, Millie, of Raphine; special cousins, Michael McManama, of Vienna, and Vickie Beal, of Norfolk; other nieces, nephews and cousins; and all of his coon and bear hunting buddies that he considered family. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Giles officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, Va.
