Phoebe Cole Obituary

Phoebe St.Clair Cole, 88, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. She was a retired nurse at Lewis Gale Hospital and a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hilry Gray; her second husband, James D. Cole; her son, Leon Gray; and her daughter, Bettie Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Green and husband, Gene; grandchildren, David Green, Donna Martorana, and Phillip Lee; one greatgranddaughter, Leslie Williams; two sisters, Marybell Moore and Dolly Moore. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue at noon Saturday, November 29, 2008. The Rev. Ronald Morris will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, #106A, Roanoke, Va. 24018. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
