Reba Charlton Nichols

Reba Charlton Nichols, 80, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2008. She was born on September 27, 1928, to the late Eston M. Charlton and Lila King Charlton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest H. Nichols; her sister, Edna Grey Charlton and her special sister-inlaw, Ruby N. Wood. She is survived by her daughters, Linda N. Harris and Joyce N. Wade; her sons, Harold E. Nichols, David Nichols and Teresa; Danny Nichols and wife, Belinda; son-in-law, Bobby Harris; daughter-in-law, Melanie Nichols; grandchildren, Jennifer Harris, Mike Wade and wife, Kim, Sterling Carr, Austin Nichols, Annie Nichols, Nathaniel Nichols, Brandi Nichols and Sarah Nichols; great-grandchildren, Noah Moody and Emily Wade; sisters-in-law, Margaret N. Underdown, Virgie Ann N. Shough (Wallace), and Fran Nichols; many special nephews, nieces and cousins; and devoted pet, Whiskers, the cat. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Class of 1946. She retired from G.C. Murphy Company after 36 years of service. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday December 1, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Albin Cruchfield officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
