David, we truly share in your loss, but celebrate in heavens gain. You and Joan both have touched so many lives by your love for Christ and a heart for hurting people and those that are lost. The heavens ring with celebration when the saints come home. When Joan closed her eyes in death she awoke in the presence of Christ. Wow! how the angels rejoice. Just to be in the presence of Jesus. We love you David. Heaven is amuch better place with Joan there.

Joan and David visited so many ailing people in the hospital as ministers for the Rescue Mission, bringing comfort and solace to folks who had no one else as well as families disturbed by plight. It was an honor to know Joan and my heart goes out to David and the rest of her family. The loss of her physical presence seems a heavy burden to bear even knowing that we were blessed to nurse her gently into the arms of everlasting love.

David and Family,
I know while experiencing the pain of loss it is difficult to express the joy in Joan's final victory. But she is in the very essence of that joy right now.
Joy was my colleague, a mentor, a dear friend and I found myself always in awe of her peaceful, generous and joyful spirit. The lives she touched I'm sure can't be counted. The impact that she had on those lives cannot be measured. Her wisdom in matters simple or complex always astounded me.
I will think of her often, and always with a smile.
May God Bless you, David, and all the family.

I was Joan's niece in law by marriage-I have know her for almost 30 years. She was the nicest most welcoming person in the world! She always welcomed me into the family and even when her nephew Bob and I divorced in 2001 she was always so kind to me as was the rest of this large, loving family. I regret that since we live in Michigan my two sons Trent and Devin did not get a chance to know her very well. She fought a very brave fight for a long time and will be sorely missed by the family. The world has lost a wonderful person.

Aunt Joan, we miss you so much already, but we have comfort in knowing that you are sitting in His lap now, with no pain, probably getting ready to dance with Jesus! We will be selfish and miss your company, but will be selfless and know that you are where you have wanted to be! We love you so much!!

I don't know Joan but I do her son, Bill from work. It is aways hard to loose someone. I think it is harder for a son to loose his mom. My heart goes out to all the family and friends of Joan.May you find comfort in all your happy memories and know that you were blessed just to have her be a part of your life. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Joan when she worked for Our Lady of Nazareth Church. We shared many happy times together. I saw her a few times after she started working for the Rescue Mission. She always talked about her sons. Family meant so much to her. May God bless her and her family.

Our prayers are with Brother Dave and his family during this difficult time. Our sister Joan is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and does not have to suffer any longer. No matter how much pain she was in the few times that I saw her,she always had a smile and was willing to serve her Lord until the end. May the God of all comfort, comfort you all during the time.
