Louise Smith Obituary

Mrs. Louise LaPrade Smith, of Greensboro, N.C., died Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Bessemer United Methodist Church, 3015 East Bessemer Ave., Greensboro, N.C. Born on March 13, 1924, near Roanoke, Va., Louise was a daughter of the late Willie Lawrence and Vera Aldridge LaPrade. She was preceded in death by her brothers, J. Marshall and William C. LaPrade. Survivors include her husband, C.B. Smith Jr.; several children and grandchildren; sister, Joanne L. Johnson, of Jamestown, N.C.; and numerous relatives in Virginia and North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008, at Forbis & Dick Funeral Service, 1118 N. Elm St. in Greensboro, N.C.
