Margarette Altice Tate

Margarette Altice (Babbee) Tate, 92, of Fincastle, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 11, 2008. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband, Martin Luther Tate; and children, Barbara Tate Sprinkle, and Martin Luther Tate Jr. Mrs. Tate was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Martha Tate Bensinger and husband, Ronald, David W. Tate, Donnie R. Tate and wife, Patricia, all of Roanoke, Randy E. Tate and wife, Laura Jean, of Hardy, Carolyn Sue Monroe, of Roanoke, Mark E. Tate and wife, Marie, of Fincastle; grandchildren, Glenn Sprinkle, Laura Smith, Martin Bensinger, Cindy Crawford, Beverly Carr, Melody Roupe, Angela Tate, Shannon Tate, Tonya Duff, Christopher Monroe and Brandon Tate; numerous greatgrandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Carilion Hospice team for their tender and loving care during these difficult times. A celebration of "Babbee's" life will be conducted 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by the Rev. Charles Hoffler and the Rev. Albin Crutchfield. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle.
