Christopher Blevins Obituary

Christopher Allen (Pete) Blevins, 37, Wytheville Va., passed away Friday, December 12, 2008 in Lewis Gale Hospital. He was born July 13, 1971 in Pulaski, the son of Linda Shinault "Sally" Blevins and the late James "Butch" Blevins Sr. He was an employee of Longwood Elastomers of Wytheville Va. Surviving are his mother, Linda "Sally" Blevins of Wytheville Va.; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lynn Blevins of Wytheville Va., Lorrie and Scott Mitchell of Rural Retreat Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, James "Jim" and Susie Blevins of Max Meadows Va.; grandmother, Ellen Shinault of Wytheville Va.; two nephews, Steven Tyler and Coty Blevins; two special cousins, Rass Shinault and Samantha Shinault both of Wytheville Va.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held Monday December 15, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Randy Morris officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 p.m. until service time or at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Lorrie and Scott Mitchell, 226 Valley View Avenue Rural Retreat Va., at any time. Arrangements by Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville.

I am saddened to hear of Chris' passing. I knew Chris from growing up in Newtown in Austinville. We had alot of good times riding the bus to the high school as well as to Vocational. My deepest sympathies to all of his family. Love and Prayers
