Cloetta Bradley Obituary

Cloetta McNeil Bradley, 88, of Yukon, Okla., formerly of Rich Creek, Va., passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Spanish Cove Life Care Retirement Village, Yukon, Okla. Born February 12, 1920, in Waitville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Edward McDaniel and Mattie Carr McDaniel. She was born and raised in Waitville, W.Va., before attending nursing school at Greenbrier Valley Hospital in Ronceverte, W.Va. Mrs. Bradley was a retired Registered Nurse whose career was spent between private practice, as an emergency room nurse and elderly care. She was a member of Yukon United Methodist Church, Yukon, Okla. Cloetta moved to Yukon, Okla., to reside at Spanish Cove Retirement Village, in 1996, to be closer to her grandchildren. She was involved with many activities and took many tours while residing at the retirement center. She also loved to read and play pool. She was the Retirement Center Pool Champion in 2006. In addition to her parents, Cloetta was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanton Leonard McNeil and her second husband, Buford Bradley. Also preceding her death was a son, Stanton Leonard McNeil Jr.; brothers, Harold, Jack and Leo McDaniel; and by sisters, Thelma McDaniel and Ozela Johnson. Survivors include two sons, Edward McNeil and wife, Anita, of Yukon, Okla., and Jack Wayne McNeil and wife, Barbara Brock, of Troutville, Va.; four grandchildren, Christopher Todd McNeil and wife, Lori, of Yukon, Okla., Robert Scott McNeil and wife, Wendy, of Wilmington, N.C., Rodrick Stanton McNeil and wife, Aundrea, of Lakeland, Fla., and Melissa Brock, of Roanoke, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Allison Cloetta McNeil, Hallie Scott and Dillion Davis; one great-great-grandchild, Kaleigh Reneigh Scott; and a sister, Verdene Dixon, of Baltimore, Md. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2009, at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rich Creek, Va., with the Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating.
