Lynwood Barton Obituary

Lynwood Stafford Barton, 82, of Roanoke, Va., died on Friday, January 16, 2009. He is survived by his beloved pet, Pook; lifelong friends, William and Pam Busick, of Maryland, and Barry and Marsha Norman, of North Carolina; cousin, Billy Altice, of Roanoke; also surviving are other cousins and close friends. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Billy Altice officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2009, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.

To the family of Lynwood Barton: I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Barton's passing. My husband and I rented from him in Vinton for over seven years. He was such a sweet person and a wonderful landlord. Our sincere condolences.
