Billy Lee Garrett, 72, of Lexington, Va., died on Sunday, January 25, 2009, in the University of Virginia Hospital. He was born on May 25, 1936, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Edward L. and Ethel Henson Garrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Garrett; a sister, Peggy Wines; and a brother, Bobby Garrett. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hartless Garrett; two daughters, Nicole Wheeler and husband, Chris, and Marie Huffman and husband, Robbie, all of Buena Vista; one son, Bryan Bailey, of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Shane and Cameron Wheeler and Hailey Huffman; two brothers, Harold Campbell and Wayne Campbell, of Buena Vista; and five sisters, Joyce Harwley, Carolyn Vess, Linda Shafer, Mary Roberts, all of Buena Vista, and Shirley Patrick, of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor W. A. Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at any time at the residence, 938 Red Hill Road and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.
