Luther St.Clair Obituary

Luther Earn (Lute) St.Clair, 91, of Blue Ridge, Va., went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert H. St.Clair Sr. and Annie Jones St.Clair; his brothers, Harry (Buzz) St.Clair, Robert (Bobby) St.Clair, and Elmer R. St.Clair; sister, Marjorie Slocum; sisters-in-law, Lorene Gray St.Clair, Ellen Blumlein St.Clair, and Cleo Norvell St.Clair. CPL Luther St.Clair served five years in the United States Armed Forces during World War II. He is survived by three brothers and their wives, Clarence H. and Janie St.Clair, of Pensacola, Fla., Emery L. St.Clair, of Manassas, Va., and Roger G. and Mildred St.Clair, of Covington, Ga.; two sistersin-law, Veatrice F. St.Clair and Agia Joan St.Clair; a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Frank and Grethel Washbush. A funeral service will be held noon on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Oakey's East Chapel with Dr. Ken Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in the St.Clair Family Cemetery in Botetourt County. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 310, Blue Ridge, Va. 24064. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel, Bonsack, 540-977-3909.
