Rachel Crook Obituary

Rachel Simms Crook, 78, of Salem, Va., passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009. She was predeceased by husband, Herbert "Bill" Crook. She is survived by children and their spouses, Linda and Jerry Hall, Jimmy W. Crook, all of Salem, and Patricia and Keith Franklin, of Roanoke; grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Kevin Humphrey, of Moneta, Tracy and Trey Dowdy, Jessica Crook Summers, Shane Franklin, and Lily Franklin, all of Roanoke; and great-grandchildren, Laken Humphrey, Ashden Humphrey, both of Moneta, Kyle Dowdy, Kaileigh Dowdy, Kerrington Dowdy, Desire Summers and Leah Summers, all of Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Lotz Salem Chapel. A private interment service will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, Va.
