When I am dead, my dearest
When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Uncle Bill,
This is for you.. I Love You DEARLY and Always will. I am very thankful for the times that I had shared with you and Aunt Wanda as a child in NY in Aunt Wanda's Red Car you would let me sit in your lap and drive the car. I have NEVER forgotten that. And in my growing years becoming an adult in Fla. Those memories are cherrished..One sticks out as I write: pull my finger! and the way you could say something in perfect form and then turn it around. It took me a bit to get it then I was finally able to understand what you were saying.
I thank GOD everytime you and Aunt Wanda would come to FLa for a visit over these last few years I was able to spend time with you.
I am sad that you had to leave us. I have learned over the years not to ask GOD why he takes people even when he takes loved ones. He has a purpose for all of us and he needed you to come home to him. Thats why I am thankful that you are no longer suffering, you are in a much better place.
When its my turn to come home, I want you to be there to greet me. I will be looking forward to a catch up conversation and for you to say "pull my finger"
Love Always Your Neice,
Tina
Aunt Wanda,
I just want you to know that I LOVE YOU very MUCH... and I pray each and day that Uncle Bill is in a better place. I wish I could take away your pain, but I know that GOD will not let you suffer.
Just know that I will never forget the memories that we have shared as a family.
The lives that you and Uncle Bill have touched, that is a gift that everyone does not get a chance to use. Thank You for being my Aunt!! Because of you and Uncle Bill I truely believe there is a wonderful place to go when GOD calls us..
Love Always your Neice,
Tina

Dear Wanda and the Thompson Family,
Words cannot discribe the loss nor fill the void of Bill's passing. I have never met a finer man, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Even though there were several years between our meetings - he always made me feel as if we had just spoken yesterday.
Please know that each of you are in my prayers, and if there is anything I can do - please, let me know,
May God bless all in the hours and days that lay before us.

My deepest sympathy to the family. My heart aches knowing we no longer will have our "good guy" Bill around; but Wanda I know your faith is stronger than anyone's I have ever known and I know your heart knows Bill is now one of the angels of our Lord, our Saviour. Time will ease our sorrow and joy will reign again when we all walk the streets of glory. Know I love you Wanda and I am ALWAYS here for anything you need at any time. Your sister in Christ. I'll really miss the old guy, we had a lot of fun picking at each other. Why didn't someone ever tell me his name was Cecil? I could have really rode him hard on that. Wanda, we will always have love in our heart for you, and you can call me anytime you want to talk, or if you need anything. I left my number with Cecil last week. My prayers are with you and Cecil.
