Helene Dolores Zongrone Lambruscati

1924 - 2009

Helene Dolores Zongrone Lambruscati, 85, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2009. Helene was born on January 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Frank and Elaine Zongrone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lambruscati; son, Larry; and daughter, Chris. Helene was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved music and during her younger years she was a great swing dancer. At even a younger age she danced in the Mickey Mouse club on stage before the movies to get in free. She cooked great Italian food, enjoyed life and was always upbeat and fun loving. We will always love and miss you. Surviving to cherish her memory are, son, Steve Lambruscati and wife, Claudia; grandchildren, Shawn and Arron White, of Roanoke, and Kristi Hardy and husband, Brian, of Leesburg; greatgrandchildren, Jet and Bryce Hardy, of Leesburg; and a former son-in-law, Miles White. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
