I worked with Paul during a liaison conference last year. There was something about this cat that was intriguing. Always sitting back observing and great with the funny, sarcastic one-liners. I actually looked forward to seeing him at the next conference. Definitely a big loss....

My deepest condolences to all of you in your loss. I had the honor of working with Paul since he took his position with Blue Ridge Cancer Care. He was well-respected by his peers, and he always displayed a willingness to share his successful business techniques. He was a tremendous asset to the practice at BRCC, as well as to US Oncology.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Paul was a great guy and fun to be around. I'll always remember the band trips and Friday night games. I got to know Paul from those times and after we graduated high school. He will be missed, but know that he lives on in the memories of all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For the Butterfield Family -
It's hard for me to imagine the world without Paul's fun, vibrant approach to life. He and I had a great time catching up at our 10-year reunion, and I am so happy we had that opportunity. It brought back excellent memories of making music together at CHS, including some fabulous trumpet playing from Paul in many solo opportunities. I still can hear him playing "She's Out of My Life" solo -- what a wonderful memory.

I loved growing up in that neighborhood, Briarwood Drive. We had some great times at Ridgewood Swim Club, and generally running the streets and yards around Summit Ridge, Huff Acres, Teals Pond etc. You'll be misseed Paul.
