Marion Gaston Obituary

Marion Logan Gaston, 79, of Salem, Va., was called home to the Lord on Tuesday morning, February 3, 2009. She was born in West Virginia but early on in her youth would come to know the Roanoke Valley in Virginia as her home. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Gaston Sr.; and two children, Ada V. Penman and Harry L. Gaston. She truly loved her family and friends. Marion Gaston is remembered by many family members which include but is not limited to John E. Gaston Jr. and his children and grandchildren, Amy Dickinson and her husband and children, Felicia Ferrell and her daughter, and grandchildren, Alice Berry and her daughter, Brandon Reddick and his son and family, Jane Gaston, Samantha Gaston and her daughter, and Keyla Hale and her children. She is also remembered by her friends at Snyder's Nursing Home where she worked for many many years; her friends at Shiloh Baptist Church; her beloved dog, Maggie; and all of her other friends that she made through the years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Vinton War Memorial, Senior Center.

To the GASTON FAMILY!!
I'm so sorry to hear that Marion is know longer with her family down here on earth, but she is with her other family and friends in heaven. I've worked with Marion sometime ago and I always looked up at her she is and always will be in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
