I feel like Reverend Pickells was a part of our extended family. He was so instrumental to our church, St. Pauls, in Saltville where he ministered for over 25 years. He officiated at my wedding, my sister's wedding, and at my grandfather and grandmother and mother's furnerals. He gave my father his last rites. And he was with my mother when she died in the church on Christmas eve. I was comforted by the fact he was there. My family will always be greatful for everything that he did for us. Above all else, he was a good friend. I will miss him. May God bless him and his family.

It was a privilege to have known Rev. Pickels. He always had a story to tell, a picture to show and a word of encouragement. I know he will greatly missed by all. May God bless you during this difficult time.

William is a TSSF (Third Order Society of St. Francis). I knew him only slightly but he knew St. Francis
well. He rests in Peace.
