Tony,
You're in my family's prayers. Keep your fond memories close to your heart, and everything else will fall into place exactly where it should.

was a nice guy, thoughtful and kind, I saw him at the mall last year he looked good, hope he didn't have to suffer, he had been through so much, he had so many health problems. Sorry for your loss.

I grew up with Smitty in Gretna and I have fond memories of us and the fun times we had growing up together. I lived on Henry St. about three doors from him. I was so sad to learn of his passing.

Tony, We have never met, but I Iived in Gretna down the street from your Dad when we were kids. Smitty was one of my first playmates, along with Linda Dalton and Sammy Ferguson. We spent many summer days playing in the woods, climbing trees and doing other fun things in the 1950's. Smitty and I were in Sunday School together and elementary school as well. He left us for Hargrave somewhere along 8th grade, but we still saw each other through the teenage years at dances and parties. If there is one quality I remember about him, it is that even as a child he had a certain dignity about him and was the most polite of the boys in upper elementary. I had not seen him in years, but kept up with news of him through some of the people who still live in Gretna. I wish I could have attended his funeral.
